I think I am finally sick and tired of people complaining about the weather in their towns, and laughing about the weather in others. People don't understand that having a year like last year just isn't normal. Texas drowning isn't normal, Georgia in this serious drought is not normal. And I don't want to hear its a cycle of things, its was bound to happen because that is crap. Maybe if people actually stopped thinking Global Warming is just about the temperature of the earth rising. The rising of the earth temperature leads to weather extremes. Extreme heat, cold, periods without precipitation, periods of precipitation all of this, the effects of the earths temperature rising. You would think that two years ago when the polar bears started DROWNING people would have seen that what they are doing is destructive. It is very clear what our destructive habits are doing to the earth yet people are more concerned about a war in Iraq and oil than about the fact that in some years none of that will matter because we'll all be dead anyway. I mean don't get me wrong, we need to be worried about most of the issues present today but it just seems that the issues that matter the most are placed on the back burner. Global warming is real... people need to realize that. Open your eyes and do something. Half the things that can be done are as simple as unplugging your cell phone charger when you finish charging the phone. Even using compact florescent bulbs can help with Carbon Dioxide emissions. Recycling helps, using washable items instead of disposable, and hybrid cars all make a difference. You might think, I'm only one person what can that really do.... but one person makes a difference... One person making a difference inspires others to make a difference and like Margaret Mead said "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
