You think with your eyes and that's what's different between you and me

You see how we're different instead of how much alike you and i could be.

Before you know, you act out on what you see

But there is more to me than what the eyes can see.

And i know there is more to you than what you're allowing me to believe

But you're blocking me out, so who you are, i cannot retrieve.

The words you say, these hurtfull words that just won't go away

They stay in my mind throughout everyday.

I am no different than you or the next person you see

I also have a heart, lungs, and voice so i know we are much more alike than you are giving us credit to be.

However, i use my voice to change for the better

You can think of it as somewhat of a trend setter.

Here i am to lead change into the future 

Because what we need is to come together; suture.
