After
watching
my
video
on
Barack
Obama
visiting
Plainfield,
it
might
seem
that
everyone
in
Indiana
is
happy
he
came
here.
Well,
whether
they
agree
with
his
political
stances
or
not,
they
are
excited
that
Indiana
counts
for
once.
"No
matter
what
candidate
comes
here,
I
am
just
glad
it
shows
that
Indiana
matters,"
said
Emma
Jay,
a
student
at
Plainfield
High
School,
where
Barack
Obama
made
his
first
stop
in
Indiana.
"This
will
encourage
our
generation
to
get
involved."
Because
Indiana
has
one
of
the
last
primaries,
each
party
usually
has
its
candidate
by
the
time
Hoosiers
cast
their
vote
on
the
first
Tuesday
in
May.
But
this
time,
the
race
for
the
Democratic
Party
nomination
is
still
on.
According
to
a
poll
done
by
the
Indianapolis
Star,
Barack
Obama
has
won
over
41
percent
of
democratic
voters,
but
Hillary
Clinton
is
gaining
momentum
with
38
percent
of
the
vote,
and
it
appears
she
may
take
the
lead
after
her
recent
victory
in
Pennsylvania.
Clinton
also
has
another
edge
in
Indiana
—
the
support
of
Sen.
Evan
Bayh,
a
democratic
politician
in
Indiana
with
a
long
history
in
the
state.
His
name
has
long
been
tossed
around
as
a
possible
vice
president
candidate
in
several
elections,
but
during
Clinton's
recent
stop
to
Terre
Haute,
Ind.
they
looked
particularly
like
a
pair.
Indiana
also
made
the
national
news
with
another
Clinton
—
Chelsea.
At
her
recent
stop
to
Butler
University
in
Indianapolis,
she
was
asked
how
her
father's
affair
would
influence
her
mother's
campaign.
Chelsea
told
the
student
it
was
none
of
his
business
and
moved
on.
But,
the
mainstream
media
did
not.
The
student
appeared
on
CNN,
Fox,
and
several
local
channels.
Former
President
Bill
Clinton
has
also
been
campaigning
for
his
wife
around
the
state,
making
stops
in
Muncie,
Indianapolis,
Bloomington,
and
other
smaller
towns
throughout
the
state.
Any
Hoosier
turning
on
their
radio
or
television
will
notice
the
amount
of
ads
each
democratic
candidate
is
running,
and
in
the
next
weeks
leading
up
to
the
election
it
is
sure
to
be
stepped
up
more
now
than
ever.
