Restrictions on 2nd Amendment rights harm us all. The argument that "if one child is saved" ignores all of the thousands of others that are left defenseless. If you cannot defend yourself and the police cannot (indeed are not required to do so), then who does that leave?

Do you own a fire extinguisher, have good brakes on your vehicle, locks on your front door, have insurance? Why? I imagine for your and your loved one's protection. I am no different in that respect - I take very personally my responsibilities.

During the late '80s Richmond, VA was the source of a lot of the guns that were used in crimes in NY and DC during the crack epidemic because VA's laws were so lenient.
