VIDEO:  "The Way Politics Is Supposed to Work": Obama Supporters Unite to Clean Philly Streets

Inspired by an article written by two students and Obama volunteers at Yale, a few Philadelphians met online and created a campaign called "Obama Works." The idea, which manifested in the first "Obama Philly Sweep" on a recent Saturday, is that the grassroots momentum surrounding Obama's candidacy can be turned into local public service projects that can make a difference in communities RIGHT NOW. It's a different way of making politics work for people, and it's spreading.

A beautifully told story. Very well done! It hits at the core of what this campaign and election has to be about...people from all walks of life working together to help one another and ultimately bring about the kind of change so desperately needed in this country.
Keep up the great work!

I really hope people who come to this site and see this video do some reasearch for themselves and not just blindly follow the crowd behind this one group of Obama supporters. Just because someone registers to vote with these people dosn't mean they have to vote for Obama. I do like the some of the unbiased journalism on this site (i think it's even better then NBC news) but this video buggs me. Obama has so much dirt behind him it's unbelievable, the trouble is the Media says nothing about it. Please do some resarch on some of Obama's hideen agendas.

What about the Global Poverty tax? Obama's bill that sounds kind of good until you realize that it would commit the U.S. to spending 0.7 percent of gross national product on foreign aid ... which amounts to a phenomenal 13-year total of $845 Billion. this is on top of what we already pay. Many Americans were alerted to the legislation by a report from Cliff Kincaid at Accuracy in Media. He states that while the Global Poverty Act sounds nice, the adoption could "result in the imposition of a global tax on the United States" and would make levels "of U.S. foreign aid spending subservient to the dictates of the United Nations."

If none of this were true and he wasn't for abortion anytime anywhere I might be supporting him because he seems like such a nice person who says he's a Christian and believes in the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ. He says this, but was he just tickling the ears of the Evangelical crowd and I was fooled as well? Instead either he's really good at hiding his hidden agenda's or he's a puppet of some really nasty extreme left wing politicians (Ted Kennedy and others) and secret organizations (CPUSA!)

If anyone is Ignorant enough about history to think Communism is a good thing please do some of your own research or ask someone old enough to know what it really meant to the people of the Soviet Union. "Black Book of Communism" is good and Richard Wormbrand's "Tortured for Christ" is a book that changed my life. Yes Obama only wants to take 30% MORE of everyones money and the Soviet Union took 100% percent from their people. But do we really want our country to step in this direction???

Obama advocated the communal ownership of land and the forced confiscation of privately controlled land, as part of a forced “development plan” and advocated dramatically increasing taxation on “the rich” even up to the 100% level, arguing that, “there is no limit to taxation if the benefits derived from public services by society measure up to the cost in taxation which they have to pay”. This is in his own book "Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance"

His loyalty is with Socialist Organizations who put him in office, his fathers ideas, and the UN. Not the people of the United States.

Before you Vote for Obama do some research on this:

Frank Marshall Davis, Barack Obama’s mentor, and a key high-level operative in a Soviet-sponsored network in Hawaii, and the dishonesty of Jon Meacham

"Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance" ( the media dosen't talk about that one much does it)

“scientific socialism”, i.e. communism supported by Obama

Communism was a great dream that's been tried before but failed and ends up stripping us of our freedoms, our money, our land, our sence of individuallity, our religion, and puts everything in the hands of the government which ended up killing 10 million people.
Do you trust Obama that much??

And don't get me started on Obama's abortion plan. It isn't just the unborn who should be afraid of where this will lead to in the near future if he's elected.

Please don't be fooled by Obama's sweet talk and the most bias example of liberal media broadcasters in the history of our country!! Yes McCain's not perfect and he's made some mistakes too I think. But he's by far the lesser of two evils. His biggest mistake is not doing more to help the public find out about the the real dirt on Obama!! Yet! Since we don't like Bush vote McCain. YOung people have a long life ahead of us in this country... please don't destroy our freedoms with Obama!

(I've spent way to much time reading articles and books, searching topics, and obsessing about this election..it scares the hell out of me. Especially the fact that people just don't care to learn the truth.)
