VIDEO:  Hatin' on Hillary

As the Politics of Hope gain momentum, Hillary Clinton's own hope to return to the White House seems less probable. As the Senator's likeability is questioned, we have to ask ourselves...why are some people so hostile to Hill Dawg in the first place? I talked to young activists in the University of Delaware chapters of NOWCAN (National Organization of Women Campus Action Network) and SAGE (Students Acting for Gender Equality), and Delaware House Representative Helene Keeley for the LD on Hill C.

Very impressive! I like the diverse opinions presented, and the speedy makeup segment was great. So what was that, 40 minutes of makeup time condensed into a few seconds?

B Money, give me some credit. The ritualistic face-painting only took about 35 minutes, tops. :-)

Jokes aside, glad you enjoyed the vid! The girls from SAGE and NOW, not to mention Rep. Keeley, really made it easy for me. There was so much more said about the emotional tightrope and the beauty myth that I had to cut out for time.

Oh yeah, I loved the hi-speed shots -- the nutcracker too. But I have to dispute one of the interviewees: there is NO way Hillary is worrying about the groceries.

This was a wonderful video! I liked the choice of using all female interviewees. It was very appropriate. I'm glad you devoted all five minutes to seeing how women feel about Hillary Clinton. We needed to talk about these issues, and I especially agree with the B word vs. N word debate the one girl brought up. It shouldn't be appropriate at all to call a Senator a bitch.

I'm so happy to FINALLY find some coverage on the True Issue at the heart of this fight, Hillary has more experience , and virtually the same stance on everything as Obama, but Sexism is the First and OLDEST form of Oppression, it's sad and terrible that women and men can love little girls but not respect and love them when they turn into women...

You are spot on, StrongAllAlongStephanie. I'm a white male yet it amazes me that it is okay to still be sexist but not racist. Both are, of course, equally wrong. The interviews were well edited and the opinions expressed very insightful. I loved the visual effects (especially the speedy make up scene). Thanks for bringing to the forefront this blatant and obvious double standard that is not only being completely ignored, but fueled, by the mainstream press.

Absolutely fantastic, Stephanie. One of the best videos to come out of this whole project by far.
