VIDEO:  Taking up the media bias with a journalism instructor

With the issue of media bias making its quadrennial appearance, I wanted to get the opinion of a prominent journalism instructor from the world of academia. I found Shawn O'Neal, journalism instructor at the University of Idaho and adviser to the school's student newspaper, the Argonaut, and asked him what he though about media bias, objective journalism and the new faces entering the field of journalism.

Nice little plug for MTV there at the end. ;) Good video. I've found myself much more sensitive to biased reporting this election than I have in the past. I've also come to realize that the idea of a "Liberal" media is silly. We have a "Media's" media, or even a Hollywood media, which panders to the sensational, entertaining, and addictive rather than the truth. Media organizations are looking out for themselves by bringing in as much money as possible, regardless of quality or the truth of what they report. But the media could never have got to this point if it wasn't so effective. Obvious we the people respond to the kind of garbage that Big News shovels out.
"an avocado if you will"....hilarious

Great idea dude. I was thinking of doing a video like this but you seem to have snatched it out of my skull :-)
