Christopher Raissi was a U.S. Marine who served an extended 12-month tour in Iraq in 2005. Upon returning to the states, he became a Marine recruiter in Macon, GA. In Part 1 of this series, Chris introduces us to his personal struggle to recruit new Marines as he "peeled back the onion" of the Iraq War. He began to question not only the war's justification but also the tactics used state-side to enlist young Marines, all the while dealing with his own emotional scars from the war. Stay tuned...

This is why we must support our troops even if we do not support the war. Much is sacrificed by them to do their work for us. We should sacrifice just as much to ensure them that their work is completely necessary.
