VIDEO:  Inventing Their Future
 
 
Atlanta hosted the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair last week, the largest such pre-college fair around. Over 1,500 students from all over the world competed not only for $4 million in scholarships and prizes, but for their futures: many of them are performing ground-breaking research in health, environmental science, and the alternative energy sources our society needs.

This is a program sponsored by industry, and students who participate are seriously challenged to think out of their "box". It is truly cool to watch students take on the challenges posed by the likes of Boeing, or Lockheed and create things their engineers have not thought of yet. Gotta love it.
