A recent Op-Ed in the Houston Chronicle called out Sen. Barack Obama for proposing some funding shifts at NASA to pay for education. Will that endanger the passage of institutional knowledge from an aging aerospace workforce to younger replacements while leaving us without a ride to the International Space Station? Or is the aerospace age gap a result of educational shortfalls that Obama proposes to fix with NASA money? It seems like a Catch-22....
