Chantal’s family could not afford to send her to school. But because of Yéle Haiti, she was able to join other children on June 23rd in the Haitian slum of Cite Soleil to celebrate finishing another academic year. READ MORE on "What's New" Chantal is one of 1,690 Yéle-sponsored children in Port-au-Prince who gathered at a school in the slum of Cite Soleil on June 23 to send a message of hope. A similar gathering of the 1,494 Yéle-sponsored students in Gonaives took place on June 18 .
