Dixie Days
Posted October 24, 2008 at 1:32 PM

The “Dixie Days” celebration in North Little Rock, Arkansas has nothing to do with the Confederate flag or the Confederacy. The event is all about strengthening the black community in tough economic times.

Affectionately know as the “cul-de-sac across the track,” the community of Dixie Addition and its residents have faced crime, injustice, and economic inequality, but “Dixie Days” is one event that always lifts their spirits and brings people together.
