VIDEO:  Young Black MI Voters on Race

Race has been a big topic in the election this year, and the racial divisions in the US are center stage. But are we really having an honest discussion? Nadir spoke with several young African American voters in Michigan and with Green Party presidential nominee Cynthia McKinney about how race is affecting the election debate.

Prtty good video but Cynthia McKinney is a rabid anti-semite who blamed her defeat in Congress on Jews having too much power. What a nut job! Why not talk to David Duke? (Please don't!)
Re: Nadir 300 days ago
You're tripping. Cynthia McKinney isn't anti-semitic. Arabs are Semites too, and she is definitely pro-Palestinian.

Someone in her campaign blamed the Jews for her defeat, but the truth is more complicated. Crossover voting by Republicans and poor turnout among some of Ms. McKinney's constituents who were tired of the controversy caused her defeat. Ask Ms. McKinney about it. She'll tell you. Or watch American Blackout.

From my understanding, McKinney's criticism of Israel caused her much trouble which is an indication that Israel DOES wield a lot of power in US politics. Criticism of Israel is NOT anti-semitism. Colin Powell told you that.

And, by the way, I WOULD interview David Duke. I'm thinking about interviewing the American Nazi Party which is headquartered in my state to ask them about their reaction to Obama's campaign. Don't you believe in free speech?

And you should NEVER compare a patriot like Cynthia McKinney to David Duke. McKinney causes controversy because she asks the hard questions and makes tough statements based on her understanding of the facts.

The only "nut jobs" that irritate me are the ones who call people "nut jobs" because they hold a differing opinion, express dissent or question the status quo.

Please be more respectful when commenting here in the future, and please refrain from name calling. Come correct. Bring some facts and substance to the debate. Don't bring hatred, bigotry and ignorance. It's counter-productive.
