Hartford is the capital of Connecticut, and is one of the poorest cities in the state. In recent years it has been trying to rebuild its economy and attract tourism revenue. Over years of neglect, Hartford's economy has a lot of work it needs to still do to bring in the type of crowd it wants to attract.
