The Barnett Shale is a giant underground natural gas reservoir spanning much of North Texas. Within the past few years, drilling companies were finally able to tap into this natural resource through horizontal drilling. It has brought billions into the economy and thousands of jobs, but now these natural gas companies want to lay pipelines in urban areas like Fort Worth. Does the benefit of a booming economy outweigh digging in people's front yards?
