While casualties both innocent and military are always a huge loss and a tragedy, we have to stay focused and look beyond to the greater picture. You think Iraqis lives are bad now? Imagine subjecting them to the will of Al Qaeda and Iranian backed Shiite militias who would impose their will on a helpless nation. Imagine the kinds of international terrorist attacks and organizations that would have roots traced back to a country overrun by radicals and terrorist regimes. I haven't heard a single good argument on how simply withdrawing from Iraq is going to A. Secure America, B. Improve life for the Iraqis C. Improve the Middle East as a whole by helping people live freely one step at a time. This is no longer the Iraq War. Iraq is simply the 2nd major battle of the war on terror.
