May 14 marked the five year anniversary of one of the worst human smuggling cases in U.S. history.
Victoria, Texas, a small city about 120 miles south of Houston, received the national spotlight when 19 out of 73 immigrants were found dead in the back of a tractor trailer. Reports say the temperature inside the trailer reached 170 degrees Fahrenheit. The immigrants who died suffered from dehydration, suffocation and hypothermia.
