NEW SLIDESHOW: Remembering the Victoria 19
Posted May 16, 2008 at 1:22 PM

May 14 marked the five year anniversary of one of the worst human smuggling cases in U.S. history.

Victoria, Texas, a small city about 120 miles south of Houston, received the national spotlight when 19 out of 73 immigrants were found dead in the back of a tractor trailer. Reports say the temperature inside the trailer reached 170 degrees Fahrenheit. The immigrants who died suffered from dehydration, suffocation and hypothermia.

Check out myaudio slideshow and see the final resting place of the Victoria 19.
