I decided to scope out how the nation’s capital spends Memorial Day and try something new, a photo story. When I got to my computer and began going through the 200 or so photos, I got stuck. Why is it, on a holiday devoted to honoring our dead and missing soldiers, we tend to celebrate? What’s Memorial Day mean to you?
