Before saying goodbye to Street Team ’08 I wanted to put together a countdown recapping a few of my favorite moments from this project. Seeing that mobile media played such a large part of our election coverage, I thought it would be fitting to create a video playlist taking a look back at my top eight reports from the past year.

Social Justice 101
The Seattle Young People's Project is a youth-led, adult supported organization working with individuals ages 13 to 18. Since most of the group is unable to vote, the institute’s goal is to empower participants with the skills they need to express themselves and to take action on issues affecting their lives.
Blogging Politics
While most people just talk about politics, Teresa Valdez Klein and Andy Sparrow take a bit of a different approach to having their voices heard. The two write a political blog in which the pair weighs in on a number of different topics and issues.
Democracy Rocks ... and Rolls!
The Washington Bus is a nonprofit group encouraging young people to get involved with politics. An innovative vehicle for hands-on democracy, the organization drives votes, leaders and change.
Biden Makes Campaign Stop on Left Coast
With nearly two weeks until Election Day, Sen. Joe Biden swung through Cheney Stadium in Tacoma for a rally on Sunday. It was Biden’s first campaign stop in Washington, and with so many undecided states (purple if you will) some people were surprised the VP nominee came out at all. But the message wasn’t just in support of Sen. Barack Obama. He was also stumping for all democratic candidates in the Evergreen State.
From Washington State to Washington, DC?
During a roundtable discussion in North Bend, Wash. Sen. John McCain outlined his strategy to lead America to meet its obligations as a steward of this planet. McCain says he will establish a market based system to curb greenhouse gas, emissions, mobilize innovative technologies, and strengthen the economy.
Barack Out With Your Caucus Out
Barack Obama spoke to more than 18,000 people who filled Seattle's Key Arena last February. The crowd cheered as the Illinois senator encouraged them to caucus for him.
Barack's Got My Back
While many show their support for Barack Obama by wearing a t-shirt or button, one Washington State resident took his backing for the Presidential Candidate to a whole new level. See how 23-year-old Roman Bishop made a permanent endorsement for the Illinois Senator.
A HUGE thank you to Kristin Grimmett, Liz Nord, Tami Katzoff and the 50 other reporters from Street Team '08.
