From small town galleries to large city events, Nebraska has an arts community that is vibrant and being led by “Prairie Mavens”—individuals who take risks and are reshaping what people think about when it comes to the Cornhuskers state.
The gallery profiled in the video (scroll below), Graham Gallery, is the focal point for creativity and artists who are looking for a space to get exposure. It’s also a critical part of the community fabric.
Artist, Ali Osborne, is taking her craft one step further by participating in a state wide organization called Grow Nebraska that showcases Nebraska products, supports artists with marketing and training programs and improves small business economies all across Nebraska.
The Friends of LIED is a group that supports art programs at the LIED Center and throughout the state. The fundraising event profiled in the video, Table Inspirations, brought international designer Preston Bailey to Nebraska to celebrate all of our Prairie Mavens and to show just how critical funding for the arts is for our state.
