Maybe if homosexual men weren't the highest demographic of aids cases, the Red Cross would be more lenient on their policies. I was the queer kid in high school who couldn't give blood, and although it hurt, it made perfect sense. Live is all about choices. If you put yourself at risk for a deadly disease, your blood is not wanted. Maybe if everyone was asked to be tested first, then policy could be changed for gay men. Good luck with the fight, but this is not homophobia, it's general public safety, whose standards need to be heightened anyway.
