Immigration Rally

This past Thursday, Chicago played host to another immigration rally. More than 12,000 immigrants and activists turned out holding signs and some chanted while others danced. While prior rally turnouts have seen numbers between 100,000 and half a million, this rally--despite lower attendance--was still rich in reason, purpose and passion. Mayor Daley, City Commissioner Robert Maldanado and other pillars of the political community spoke to ralliers calling for racial equality and a resolution to the looming immigration problem across the United States.
