Take the guns away (like the Virginia Tech incident) and see how protected you are. When it is allowed to carry guns (like the Appalachian Law School Incident) these mass slaughters are averted.

In a place where firearms are not allowed, only outlaws and criminals will have them and that is more dangerous to the public than the whole country being armed.

The second amendment is not there just to prevent tyranny like we see today, or to hunt, it is also there for the duty of protecting yourself from bodily harm.

When the propaganda says to restrict guns rather than telling the public to be well armed, we are slipping unescapably into despotism.

The media only makes a big deal about mass killings. They will not make a big deal out of a mass killing that was averted because someone was carrying a firearm.

Yeah, I was raised in a household where guns are "bad" and it actually scared me when I thought about other people having them. Being who I am, I educated myself about firearms. Lo and behold! I have come to believe exactly as AllNaturalHealer says. Not only should you arm yourself, but you should equip yourself similarly to the military and police. America was founded on the idea that its citizens take care of themselves, rather depending on a centralized government.
