Wow. What a year. I learned a lot about Kansas in my travels from Lawrence to Greensburg, Pittsburg to Topeka, Kansas City to the California desert. Young Kansans are active in their communities and want to make a positive difference, no matter what their political affiliations are. This was an eye-opening experience. Kansas may not be free of the culture wars of recent years, but young people are working to make the state a better place.
