The last time a democrat won a general election in South Carolina was back in 1976. In this year's democratic primary Barack Obama alone received more votes than the entire republican party's primary. A similar vote in November could send this red state swinging. If Obama isn't named the nominee, will they vote?

Add another SC superdelegate to Obama's campaign. Wilber Lee Jeffcoat, a state democratic leader from Swansee has announced his support for Senator Obama.
