Voter Registration Deadline
Posted September 18, 2008 at 10:06 PM

There are less than fifty days until the 2008 Presidential elections, but don't fret just yet. There's still plenty of time to make your vote count by registering. Luckily for you there are many options when it comes to registering. This includes some that don't even require you to leave your bedroom.

In South Carolina the deadline to register for the 2008 elections is Saturday, October 4. That is less than twenty days from now. If you're reading this, then you're probably on a computer. This means that in just minutes, an unregistered voter can register online. Here at www.think.mtv.com there are several links to register. Other options for registering online include www.rockthevote.com, www.declareyourself.com, and www.scvotes.org is designed specifically to register and inform voters in South Carolina.

The Department of Motor Vehicles or DMV is among those places where you can register to vote or update your voter registration information. Typically, people like to ensure that information on their voter registration card is updated. Taking this measure can help to circumvent any hiccups on election day that may keep you from casting your vote. In person you can also go to your County Election Commission. A complete list can be found online at www.scvotes.org. Happy registering! Remember, there are only two choices: Choose or Lose.
