Keep a Child Alive (KCA) is in the business of saving lives.

We get children and families the drugs they need to stay alive, and that's less than $1/day.

Now, "KCA College" is our nationwide network of college students. We're on over 100 college campuses with students who have been working hard with KCA over the past year and we love them for their dedication.

We know students might not have $1/day, so what we're saying is we just want one penny. I am calling out to college students across the country to join KCA College, and help us with our Good Cents Initiative.

KCA has just launched the Good Cents Initiative, where we are asking the companies do business with every day to add one penny to the bill. Our Starbucks coffee, our iTunes music, our ConEd phone bill... one penny added to every transaction makes BIG change.

Our shout-out to college students nationwide is to join us in the business of saving lives. Make a Good Cents Game plan by going to wherever it is YOU do business and ask for a penny to be added to every bill. We want you to dream up a plan for adding a penny to systems across America.

One thing I love about America's history is how young people across our country have stood up and taken action on things that were wrong - civil rights, gay rights, women's rights, the end of Vietnam War - we are NOT powerless -  if we all come together we can change the world.

It's incredibly wrong what's going on in Africa. The AIDS pandemic is on an EPIC scale because they have been unlucky to be born into poverty...that's wrong.

HIV/AIDS is the issue of our generation.

It doesn't have to be this way.

It's that simple. It makes sense. We want you to make cents.
