Someone once said "If we don't capture the imagination of young people, how are we going to change the world? It's not possible." And, it's true. We have some great challenges and some amazing opportunities to join in to deal with global issues like climate change and global health. Let's get started!

TPS started with the basic idea of getting "the people"-meaning ordinary American citizens a voice on global issues. Way back in 2003, the U.S. was head to war, the country was still reeling from 9/11 and the prevailing wisdom was that we "the people" wanted to stick our collected heads in the sand and wish for better times. Except that wasn't exactly true. People really wanted to talk about the role of the U.S. in the world and they did. Tens of thousands participated in discussions in schools, campuses, community centers, even convents and prisons. People still want a voice on global issues. Don't you?
We are looking for bright eager young people who want to get involved in some of the most important (and most interesting) issues. Right now, we are focusing a lot on climate change (who isn't?) and children's health and this whole big idea of America's role in the world - both from the perspective of Americans, but ...
