THIS TEXTERVIEW HAPPENED LAST WEEK:

AFRICA: Heya how are you?

BRAVO:I'm extremely well, thanks! Work is stressful, but that's normal isn't it?

AFRICA:Do what you love with balance and passion and the stress will go away. Challenges will always come, breathe through them and they'll be blessings.

AFRICA: So what causes have you been championing these days?  Last it was GMHC and I remember you sharing with me a touching story of how you yourself had been attacked. That was brave of you!

BRAVO:Thanks S, Im really a huge supporter of GMHC--I am helping organize their November event, and it's a charity that really changes people's lives. What happened to me shouldn't happen to anyone, anywhere. We should have zero tolerance for hate crimes in this day and age.My main focus is L.W.A.L.A. (Living With a Lifelong Ambition), a youth based organization that employs innovative ways to involve youth in fundraising efforts for worthy causes in Africa.

AFRICA:  So Operation Smile event is coming up this week n'est pas?

BRAVO:Yes, it was actually last night and was spectactular. Everyone was dressed to the nines, and they had food from Phillipe, which is my personal fave. It was great to be surronded by some of my best friends, supporting a great org. And I loved my Shanghai Tang outfit!

AFRICA:How did you get involved with that?

BRAVO:Well I think that some people blow it off as a superficial charity, which is ridiculous. If you read the literature, it really DOES change and save people's lives. I was honored to get involved---a lot of my closest friends were all co-chairs, so that was fun.

AFRICA:Great Kristian! I am just remembering how I met you because you lent your clothing line to my charity fashion show?

BRAVO:Yes--what a great time that was! Our line has grown a lot since then!

AFRICA:What is the line called again?

BRAVO:Unruly Heir.

laliberte

AFRICA:Oh yes that's it?

AFRICA:How is that going?

BRAVO:Fantastic. I am super excited for the summer season--Ive seen a bunch of people on the streets wearing the clothes and it's crazy.

AFRICA:You do that with Timo Weiland right?

BRAVO:Timo are I are partners in our PR Firm, Heir Apparent, which is partly owned by Unruly Heir. The brand itself is me, but more significantly, the designer Angelina Ulanskas, founder Joey Goodwin, and artist John Gagliano.

AFRICA:He's so handsome that Timo I just saw him last week at the Envirolution launch!

KRISTIAN:He's like a brother to me--so I don't really look at him like that, lol. He really is my family. I was supposed to go Envirolution but I was so sick, I felt awful as I was on the committee.

AFRICA:Do you have a store? boutique? Online? How do people buy it?

KRISTIAN:We sell at about sixty stores internationally and online at

www.unrulyheir.com

In New York you can get it at Bloomies, Blue & Cream, Union, N Harlem, i Heart, etc...

AFRICA:So cute , I'll have to run down and get UNRULY myself...

BRAVO:You better--it would look great on you---I can't believe how much weight you've lost dude!

AFRICA:I have been working hard since January and have lost about 70 odd pounds of my hundred pound goal anyway Have fun bopping about to benefits as usual...

BRAVO:hahaha. im sure you bop more than I do! See you soon I know.TEXTERVIEW 014
