A reporter pulled me aside as they sometimes do and asked me in the interview WHAT IS MTV DOING HERE? It's like she expected Suzanne Africa the activist but not in association with MTV like they didn't match..She must've found out from one of my (all under 30) youth, all minority crew members who go with me to events to cover me for my online blog show cause celebrity news on THINK MTV. 

 

WAIT R U serious MTV whatever you want to say about it has given young people ESPECIALLY ME a platform to take on the issues that plague their life here as well as internationally -have you seen the effect of the staying alive campaign lately by the way ?? Honestly MTV shows both the problem and gives you a solution. Whatever is going on w/YOUTH IS on MTV and MTV has THINK an online community that empowers young audience to vote, stop drinking, save darfur you name it, it is on think so what is MTV doing at a pro social event??? uhh what the channel has done for years making change cool AND doing it in partnership with young people like me. I am also a sexual violence survivor so how amazing is it that I get to be empowered about raising awareness about that here tonight, being raped is one of the most difficult things I ever went through in my life, but I watched programs like the real world and other things on the network and I knew I am not the only one going through some of these feelings. SO DON"T MESS WITH MTV OR YOU MESS WITH ME!!! LEAVE MTV ALONE! And watch a little longer than Tela Tequila ( who though I am not a huge fan of... by the way how many other channels have put a bisexual girl on air) and watch TRUE LIFE, WATCH REAL WORLD which besides the making out scenes deals with racism, homophobia, sexual harassment... please CHILD!! what channel are you watching... I'm watching MTV and I like it darling. I wanted my MTV then when I was 13 and I want my MTV now that I am about to turn 30 because for my whole life whether for good or bad they made me THINK and let me say whatever the hell was in my heart. MTV is my family man so don't mess with it! We love you nice reporter girl now why are you here again??

 

Oh and to the people who say can't anyone have a blog on THINK MTV can't anyone do what suzanne africa is doing with that show... HA GOOD ONE!  For the record I was invited to do it because I was doing it elsewhere and they thought it fit with what think was about... but YES ANYONE CAN HAVE A BLOG!! THAT IS THE POINT HATER.... YES YOU CAN DO WHAT I AM DOING?  WELL NOT EXACTLY LIKE ME BUT ....COME ON DO IT ! I DARE YOU TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE! I'll even send you an invitation actually I did already and you never joined... LOL you'll have a blog on THINK MTV but you'll never be ME DARLING! And good to know you are watching and reading enough to discuss amongst yourselves... I think that is called fans right!! We love haters it's usually a sign that you are doing well by the way.
