If Aliens were surveying the political climate right now, they would know on the democratic side that Senator Hilary Clinton has her daughter Chelsea out there campaigning for her and that Barack Obama  http://think.mtv.com/profile/BarackObama has two young daughters, and maybe just maybe, by mistake they would think a son who has been going to school campuses campaigning for the Senator his name Nick Obama? No silly aliens it’s Nick Cannon he’s an Actor/ On air tv host, Singer, Rapper… read my blog ALIENS PLEASE and you’ll know everything cause and celebrities.. Anyway that’s the aliens covered.

What about you? Unless you have been locked in a closet, you’re Mum doesn’t let you watch telly and neither does your friends Mum, so no MTV on your street, if you NEVER go to the movies, listen to your radio, don’t read magazines, page 6 (pagesix.com) blogs, no word of mouth buzz in your town, no wire image dammmmn… then maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe you have never heard about Nick Cannon( www.nickcannon.com). Starting on Nickolodeon and now the star of MTVs WILD N OUT comedy show. (/www.mtv.com/ontv/dyn/nick_cannon_wildnout/series.jhtml) and star of the recent American Son (http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles/1580008/20080122/story.jhtml) about an Iraqi soldier and did you know darlings that Nick was presented at Cannes last year with a new comer award for his role in BOBBY by Jude Law.. FAB FAB FAB… If you still don’t know what I am talking about then I’ll describe him the girly way, he’s young, he’s totally HOT LOOKING, uh huh I said it and he’s funny funny funny and as you’ll see in this article socially responsible and involved too. A real smarty we love that! So I’ll give you the story, I was introduced by text message, I know I know, but it DOES happen! I was introduced to him by the fabulous Aubrey O’day from pop super group Danity Kane (http://www.danitykane.com/ )and MTVs Making the Band….she was working with me on World AIDS Day for my film festival (www.newyorkaidsfilmfestival.org. Unfortunately the timing didn’t allow Nick to come to our event at the United Nations (www.unaids.org) but a text friendship was born. We texted about basics I would see something great he did and say hey congrats and things like that and we both seemed to want to do something together at some point, regarding social responsibility sooooo when I decided I would start doing my celebrity texterviews I thought he’s PUUURRRRFECT since we never met and are text friends… but coincidentally this weekend he was hosting an event for the TJ MARTELL foundation (http://www.tjmartellfoundation.org/) and I was a guest and blogging for you lot to read my antics and so we met and got to chat also… So I can tell you he’s just as much of a gem in real time as he is in text land… I’ll let you read the rest… Bye darlings Love you Miss you, TEXT me lovelies… And by the way those aren’t typos or spelling mistakes it’s text talk darlings and if you don’t know that well then I dunno how to help you ask your BFFs or your kids Don’t be mad just get with it baby…LOL BYE.

TEXTERVIEW 003

AFRICA:Hey Nick.

NC: What the deal! AFRICA

AFRICA: How R U?

NC: I’m Good

AFRICA: U have been pretty busy lately, seems like everywhere I look there is Nick Cannon working! Here at home on MTV, Sundance, VH1, Fashion Week and Political Campaigning Congrats quite accomplished so young OMG U ROCK!

NC: Thank You I gotta stay busy!

AFRICA: Do u get tired?

NC: My ADD doesn’t allow me to get tired.

AFRICA: LOL. Speaking of campaigning lately u have been in the press for going 2 high schools for Obama? How did that happen?

NC: Uhhm through things like Rock the Vote and a couple of other organizations I reached out to the Obama campaign and they kinda reached to me and it made perfect sense… just B CUZ I was a strong supporter since 2004 of Senator Obama and a fan of his books and they were like can you go speak on our behalf and be a surrogate and I was like absolutely!

AFRICA: Is this the first time u have volunteered for a presidential campaign?

NC: Yes for a candidate specifically.

AFRICA: Do u remember voting for the first time?

NC: I do, it was I wanna say…. I had just turned 18.. it wasn’t even a major election …it was more like..

AFRICA: Local Stuff NC: Like School Board or something like that.

TEXTERVIEW 016 Uhh School board did he say...

AFRICA : HMM .So tell me what is your official role? Do u have a title? Or is it just like Nick Cannon is doing his thing?

NC: Yeah Surrogate… I guess that would be the title

AFRICA: What do u have 2 do?

NC: Going to colleges, highschools, speak to the youth, do local press, and just, you know discuss the Senators policies and discuss what he wishes to do when he gets into the white house.

AFRICA:How many schools have u visited? Where?

NC: We’ve been through the state of South Carolina, North Carolina, California, Ohio, Texas…

AFRICA: So what is the reaction when you go? Are they surprised u are doing this since u are usually making them laugh?

NC: It’s a little bit of both , you’ve gotta show them your personality, they’re kinda shocked that I know so much about the Senators policies and all those things but you still gotta speak their language, you can’t talk over their headz and that’s one thing that’s dope about Obama is that he speaks their language.

AFRICA:What do they ask you in that setting?

NC:It’s just a lot of stuff that they talk about… u know like local concerns, kids are definetly concerned about schooling, and uh and all the students are clearly concerned about education, student loans, gas prices, all of those things…

AFRICA: Man I forgot about them STUDENT LOOOOAANS!

TEXTERVIEW 029

NC: YEAH U KNOW…Those are definetly things that are on the forefront of students minds but then after that the troops in Iraq…

AFRICA:Yeah you just played in that movie that went to Sundance right?

NC: Yeah American Son so I definetly have a lot of stuff to talk about that is specific to the cause and to the movement so it’s not too far fetched that I’m out there speaking at these schools

AFRICA:Will u be doing this until November?

NC: Yeah we are going all the way till we are partying in the white house till we are at Pennsylvania Ave gettin it POPPIN HAhaha!

AFRICA: LOL LOL LOL LOL. That was my next question hahaha Nick ..How do u feel about the fact that u might know the president of America after all of this is said and done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NC: IM DJ-ING AT THE WHITE HOUSE IT’S GOING DOWWWWWWWN!

TEXTERVIEW 012

(MTV if he djs at the white house please please can I go and cover it please please please I know John Norris is gonna be like please girl you just do an online Blog......I am the King of MTV and would clearly be the choice to cover and to that I say I llllllllove John Norris he taught me how to read the telepromter in the TRL STUDIO and I bow down to his almighty MTV VJ SELF) Ok back to the interview!

AFRICA: HAHAHHA HAHAHHAHAHA!!!! What issues does Obama stand for that speak to u the most?

NC: Things that speak to me directly obviously are bringing the troops home as soon as possible. Uhm a lot of different policies, I love how he feels about keeping the arts in the schooling system…uhm early education for our kids, uhm health care obviously, making it affordable for everyone. Like I said the education processs, getting a 4000 dollar tax credit for every student that wants to go to college all of those things.

AFRICA: Do u think America is ready for a black President?

NC: America’s ready for the RIGHT president the fact that he’s black is a PLUS. You know what I mean, bcuz it is a great thing to have that face and that identity representing the free nation and the land of opportunity, the melting pot, it’s a great thing to have a president with a last name like OBAMA and a face like the Senator has, bcuz that is what this country is supposed to be all about.

AFRICA:You know how I’m Suzanne AFRICA well my sister her name is ABOMO so whenever I see that name I’m always like ABOMO OBAMA ABOMO OBAMA hahah lol so everyone in Africa …….they like know the name…

NC: LOL …HAHA

AFRICA: Have u met Obama personally?

NC: ABSOLUTELY he’s a wonderful man

AFRICA: What is he like?

NC: The coolest man ever, he’s the same man in the room of four as he is in a room of 4000.

AFRICA: That’s right u said you’ve known him for a while now. So would u ever have Obama on your MTV show Wild N’ Out?

NC: I would but I would have to put Obama on the red squad though, he’d have to be on my team.. I can’t go up against him.

AFRICA: Ha! Can he freestyle?

NC: He’s got mad swagger, so I think he can pull it off.

TEXTERVIEW 008

AFRICA: What about u? U think u would ever run for president? If so who would u want as your first lady? Like a famous woman??

NC: I don’t know if I would have a first lady, I’d probably have like a first GIRLFRIEND!!!

 TEXTERVIEW 015

AFRICA: HAHAHAHHA LMAO

NC: U know what I’m sayyiin…I don’t know about the first Lady thing , but we’d have to have someone that’s intelligent, fly, there’s a lot of them out there, I’m not gonna just narrow myself down real quick.

TEXTERVIEW 013

( Look sorry ladies I tried, I asked him, at least he's single what you thought  I could get him to marry you during my interview, I am just one girl!!!)

AFRICA: If u had 2 say the top four reasons 2 vote for OBAMA what would they be?

NC: Top Four reasons. Number one is the mans integrity, when someone has integrity through out their entire political career, never been involved with lobbyists, never you know…he’s been a man of his word. That’s the kinda man you want running your country. Number two is his care and concern for the family and community. Number three he doesn’t speak a lot of political jargon he talks directly to you.. and Number four is just the honesty.

AFRICA: Uhhhm If a young person asked u why should I vote what would u say?

NC: Martin Luther King said A right delayed is a right denied” (http://www.thekingcenter.org/), so many people fought for our right to have a choice and have a voice , we gotta utilize it, people gave their blood sweat and tears for YEARS and weren’t able to vote- so now that we are in a place to where everyone can vote and everyone is eligible, it’s a beautiful thing and we gotta use it and exercise that right.

AFRICA: Brilliant….Thanks Nick great txt’n with u today Good Luck with everything.

NC: Cool Hit me Up!

AFRICA: Will DO…TTYL, C U L8TR
