she is totally right!

There is something that can be learned from watching and listening to an individual (of any background) speak about their personal journey in life. Her display of true humility and honest gratitude are noble traits that cause inspiration. The importance of this video, to me, is not whether you see eye to eye with every single point made in her speech (of which she did not stare down at the papers in her lap). If all you take away from this is that one voice & one life can make all of the difference in the world, that is a realization to either re-kindle what you already know, or to take notice in a necessity of which you need to maintain awareness. Shakira made mention of Latin America & the perils it suffers, and continues to go through. While not from Columbia, there is a talented, female Latin artist out of Buenos Aires who I first saw on myspace a few years back. She was just getting started in 2006, and now she has over 35 thousand fans & friends. Please go listen to her page, in particular "Sin Motivos" (the complete version).
