It is time for a new Amendment to the Constitution. The current system for electing the President of the United States using the electoral college is outdated and just plain confusing. It was not until the 17th Amendment was passed that there was a direct election of the Senate. It is time that the 28th Amendment be added to the Constitution so that the President of the United States of America may be elected directly by the people for the people. Who's with me?!

Discussion: Stop Making it a Chore to Vote!!!

Not only is there the problem that many people feel that their vote doesn't count, but this feeling of despair is in addition to the fact that the government has made it a pain in the @$! to vote.  There is registration, deadlines, inconvenient timeframe, and TUESDAY...seriously?!?

I'm with you on that! I think a Friday/Saturday vote would work a lot better...but even if it has to stay on Tuesday they could at least make it a national holiday or something...you know? No work, No school, for anyone...maybe we should start a petition...

This has been incramentally done for a reason just like the fact that the voting ditrict boundaries can be manipulated each voting season to help get more repulican or democratic vote into a certain area to win an election.

If you really want to get worried about the votes look into the NH recount votefraud ordeal. The worste thing about it is this is one of the two number one states in our country with the least corruption.

The electronic voting machines are a scham. The maker of an election stealing program for the florida state voting machines (computer programmer Clinton Eugene Curtis) and testified in court that he made it for a Senator for the 2000 elections. His testimony is on my page.

Our system needs majorly revamped by founding fater material and that is what I am here to do.

Please join my group Citizens for a Constitutional Government and help to debate topics and further educate ourselves and others about the problems we face today in government and government economics, why we face them, and how to effect change once voted in at all levels of government.
