It is time for a new Amendment to the Constitution. The current system for electing the President of the United States using the electoral college is outdated and just plain confusing. It was not until the 17th Amendment was passed that there was a direct election of the Senate. It is time that the 28th Amendment be added to the Constitution so that the President of the United States of America may be elected directly by the people for the people. Who's with me?!

Not only is there the problem that many people feel that their vote doesn't count, but this feeling of despair is in addition to the fact that the government has made it a pain in the @$! to vote. There is registration, deadlines, inconvenient timeframe, and TUESDAY...seriously?!? |
