Help Fight Global Poverty by Empowering a Low-Income Entrepreneur

Think MTV and Kiva are teaming up to help you fight global poverty. Kiva.org is a non-profit organization that enables people like you to make small loans, or microloans, to low income entrepreneurs so they can empower themselves to earn their way out of poverty.

By supporting the Kiva profile on Think.mtv.com, you will receive a FREE $25 Kiva certificate that you can loan to any entrepreneur on the Kiva site.

Use this loan to help a farmer in Guatamala, a restaurant owner in Uganda or a baker in Lebanon start and sustain their businesses to help themselves, their families, and their communities. This is a REAL way you can help REAL people.  Start right now.

...i think this offer has passed.

Re: joeingeno 34 days ago

I signed up on Sunday, August 31st, 2008, and the gift certificate was sent to me 2 days later on Tuesday, September 2nd.  So the offer worked for me and as of this writing, it still seems to be valid.

Thank you Think MTV and Kiva for providing this free $25 gift certificate offer!  I was already a Kiva supporter, and used the certificate to provide another loan, but I think it is a great way to get new people interested in and started with Kiva.
