Malaria by the Numbers:

Children all over the world are victims of disease. The real tragedy lies in the plain and simple truth that some of these disease are preventable; some of these are diseases we have the ability to stop. No vaccines needed, no expensive medication or clinical trial and error- we have the solution right now.

                        Cases                       Child Deaths

AIDS :           34-47 million                  290K-500K

Malaria:     350-500 million         750K-2.25 million

Children under the age of 5 are the most effected by malaria, a  disease that is 100% treatable and preventable. They get bit at night by mosquitoes carrying the parasite and begin to show symptoms a short while later. Within days, they could be dead.

The solutions to health crises are very often elusive; not this time. The solution is the bed net, stop the mosquito from getting to the people, stop the deaths, it is that simple. We have seen the effectiveness of the net (check out our success stories blog) and we know these examples are not only sustainable but replicable.
