Step 4: Re-energize Your Space
by  thinkMTV

Are you getting ready to go back to school, but your room looks so last semester? When it's time to redecorate, you can make your space even cooler by giving it an eco-makeover.

Last month, as part of Break the Addiction's 12-Step Program, you Became Independent.

Now it's time for Step 4: Re-Energize Your Space. You don't have to wait for politicians to pass laws or for big corporations to change their energy policies - you can step up and save the planet by starting with your own room! Help Mother Earth today by looking around your own four walls and seeing how you can make your space greener.

From unplugging your electronic devices to changing your lightbulbs: these are just some of the ways you can make your space environmentally friendly. For more ideas, check out how these students greened their crib. Your small eco-steps can make a big difference!

Did you know you can also get paid for greening others' spaces? The field of eco-jobs is quickly growing, and many colleges now offer programs like sustainable building design that can set you on an environmentally conscious career path. By becoming a green architect, interior designer, or real-estate developer, you can literally help build a healthier planet earth.
